TYPES OF AIRSPRINGS:
Two basic types of airsprings are utilized in modern air suspension systems:
Rolling Lobe or Air Reversible Sleeve – (Figure1) Flexible member rolls up and down a smooth piston surface to vary height and absorb shocks. Most replacement work will involve this design.
Convolute Design – (Figure 2) Bellows flex in and out to vary height and absorb road shocks
